Manacor Hospital
For the Manacor Hospitalwhich provides service to some 150,000 inhabitants, approximately 20% of the population of the island of Mallorca, we carried out a project to adapt and improve the sanitary hot water system and the impulsion piping network. One of the objectives of the work was to reduce CO₂ emissions derived from the use of the DHW system.
Son Espases University Hospital
In the Son Espases Hospitallocated in the city of Palma de Mallorca, we are in charge of reforming the electrical and telecommunications installation of the emergency area.
The new telecommunications offer faster Internet connection speeds, thus speeding up the hospital's internal communications. As for the electrical installation, in addition to adapting it to current regulations and meeting the hospital's needs, LED lighting was introduced, which not only improves visibility but also considerably reduces energy consumption.
Juaneda Sport Health Clinic
Healthcare facilities are not only found in hospitals or outpatient clinics. The Juaneda Sport Health Clinic de Palma is a specialist in sports medicine and also offers other health care services.
In this case, it was a new building with an outpatient area, a rehabilitation area and an X-ray room. At TALAT, we were in charge of the design of the facilities in a comprehensive project that covered air conditioning, ventilation, plumbing and sanitation, telecommunications and electrical systems. In its planning and execution, which we coordinated, health and safety issues were taken into account to ensure the welfare of patients and workers of the center.
The Sant Joan de Déu Hospital of Inca
Another integral project in a new construction job, in this case of a larger scale: the Sant Joan de Déu Hospital of Incain Mallorca, which includes an 80-bed hospitalization area, several operating rooms, X-ray equipment and a neurorehabilitation center. The hospital offers geriatric care and special and palliative care, so it was particularly important to create healthcare facilities that ensure the comfort, safety and well-being of patients.
We carry out the complete installation of the telecommunications, electrical and control systems. It is worth mentioning the control system with the LonWorks platformThis allows the decentralization of networks in control and automation applications, so that different groups of devices can be handled independently, more directly and easily. This not only gives greater control over the different devices, but also allows faster processing and exchange of information and limits potential failures.
In the patient rooms, a nursing assistance warning system was installed on the headboards of the beds, as well as thermostats that regulate the temperature in each room. In addition, LED luminaires with high efficiency and energy savings were also used for the lighting.
