Hotel Don Juan - The complete renovation that makes the difference

At Talat we believe that engineering is not just about plans and calculations, but about understanding the place, the people and the real needs of the project. During our last intervention at the Don Juan Hotel, we focused on a comprehensive upgrade of key facilities, both to improve technical efficiency and to elevate the end-user experience.

Lighting: creating the perfect atmosphere

Lighting is the soul of any hotel space. That's why we completely redesigned the Lobby bar system, integrating lighting over the acoustic ceiling that creates that cozy ambiance guests are looking for at the end of the day. On the first floor terrace, we installed upper and lower LED strips on the pillars, along with decorative lighting in the lower area, transforming the space into a magical place for Mediterranean nights.

But we also know when less is more. We eliminated unnecessary light points in the elevator lobby and restrooms, optimizing both energy consumption and visual comfort. In the buffet kitchen, we strategically relocated the lighting points to improve the functionality of the workspace.

Electrical system: safety and efficiency

We incorporated PIR detectors in employee corridors on all floors, ensuring intelligent lighting that is activated only when needed. We added strategically distributed outlets in kitchens and work spaces, because we know that day-to-day functionality makes a difference in hotel operations.

Air conditioning: invisible comfort

We completely modified the ventilation layout, optimizing the air flow in every corner of the hotel. We replaced the UTN22 units with UTN40 in the kitchens, a technical decision that significantly improved energy efficiency.

The buffet's impulsion system now works with plenum and flexible duct, an elegant solution that improves air distribution. We added fan coils on the first floor (commissary, lingerie and pool bar) and repositioned the one in the elevator lobby, optimizing every cubic meter of air conditioning.

Plumbing and sanitation: the invisible base

We marked and optimized the piping to the dining room warehouse and modified the downspouts in the office area. Those details that nobody sees, but that guarantee the perfect operation of the facilities for years.

Security and evacuation: total peace of mind

We recalculated the occupancies of the buffet area for 300 people and updated all the evacuation routes. We modified the dry column according to the strictest regulations.
