TED stands for Technology, Entertainment and Design. Three major areas that, together, are shaping our future. In addition, TED is also a non-profit organization with an annual event where some of the world's leading thinkers and entrepreneurs are invited to share what they are most passionate about.

With the purpose of spreading worthwhile ideas, TED has created TEDx, a program of local and independently organized conferences that provide an experience similar to the TED conferences.

Palma already has this annual event, which was held last Sunday for the third time. Under the slogan "Kaleidoscope", 9 speakers shared their life experiences and new ideas in 15-minute talks during the morning, with a coffee break with networking among attendees and speakers.

Among the guests, we had the opportunity to receive a talk with a very positive vision of the future from the hand of Pablo VidarteSpanish businessman, investor and inventor, currently chairman of Arkyne Technologiesand founder of Bioo, Arkyne's leading project for electricity generation from plants, Pablo has developed projects related to geolocation devices, evolutionary artificial intelligence programs and systems for organic hydrogen generation in rivers for clean fuel applications. He also talked about his book: A new land.

He has been listed in the Forbes list at the age of 20, featured in the 2017 Universal Expo in Astana, awarded by the Madrid Science Park, listed in the top of the most innovative companies in Europe by the European Parliament, and recognized by Google and South Summit 2016 with the title of the most disruptive company of the year and the first prize in energy and industry. It has 9 international awards in London, Vienna, Bucharest, Prague, Paris, Barcelona, Madrid and Brussels.

Also related to our sector, we had the pleasure of knowing the work of the Ana Mombiedroarchitect and teacher, specialized and reference in the field of Applied Neuroarchitecture. Ana collaborates and leads research projects with teams that advocate for a built world that takes into account the sensations and emotions of its inhabitants. In her work she provides answers to questions related to sensory comfort and explains how the environment influences us at different stages of our lives.

More than 10 years working as a teacher make Ana a reference in the current scene. Conveying her enthusiasm for a world more connected with people. She currently works teaching courses on Neuroarchitecture in universities and private entities, and as a consultant with architectural firms who want to know how to communicate to their clients a person-centered perspective of the project.

Thanks to the organization of this event that has allowed us to approach these and other motivating experiences and experiences that have undoubtedly inspired us in many professional, social and personal aspects.

From Talat we believe that we have many people, professionals and spaces on our island that can continue to make this type of meeting possible.
