A recognition celebrating our commitment to innovation, sustainability and people
It is with great pride and excitement that we share the news that marks a milestone in the history of TALAT: we have been awarded with the Balearic Islands SME of the Year Award 2025The award was granted by Banco Santander and the Chamber of Commerce of Mallorca, in collaboration with the Chamber of Spain and the newspaper Última Hora.
An award that belongs to everyone
As our CEO Gustavo Picó said when accepting the award: "It is a great honor to receive this award on behalf of the entire TeamTalat. Because at Talat, first and foremost, we are people, we are team, we are family."
This award is not only ours, it is the result of the effort, dedication and talent of each person who is part of TeamTalat. It is a testament to the fact that when we work together towards a common goal, seemingly impossible challenges can materialize.
From the Talaiots to the Santiago Bernabéu: building the unbelievable
In his speech, Gustavo made a reflection that perfectly defines our essence: "What does a talayot have to do with the Santiago Bernabeu stadium? Very simple, one looks at them and thinks, how could they (or could they) have done this?"
Both the megalithic constructions of our ancestors and the modern Santiago Bernabeu share something fundamental: they are the result of seemingly impossible challenges made possible by combining the values of collectivity, solidarity and nonconformity. Values that are in TeamTalat's DNA.
Precisely, our participation in the remodeling of the Santiago Bernabéu Stadium, where we executed the HVAC system for the air conditioning of the hypogeum and the BMS control that automates the playing field, was one of the aspects highlighted by the jury.
Our three main pillars
1. People, our greatest asset
At a time when talent management and retention is strategic, at TALAT we firmly believe in our team. We invest in personalized training for 100% of TeamTalat, we promote growth through our internal promotion program, we encourage the practice of sports and we offer freedom and responsibility for family reconciliation.
But our responsibility goes beyond our borders. We collaborate with the Vicente Ferrer Foundation in India to build housing and educational centers for children with different disabilities, because we believe that success makes sense when it is shared.
2. Sustainability: thinking of future generations
We cannot imagine a worse world than the one our grandparents and parents left us. We have an inescapable commitment to future generations, to our children and grandchildren.
For this reason, all our projects are developed in an environmentally friendly way, applying our certifications. LEED and BREAM. It's not just a matter of labeling ourselves as a "sustainable company", it's an attitude that defines us.
It is the ability to listen to our clients and challenge them to reimagine more responsible ways to realize their visions. We understand that every technical decision generates an environmental consequence, and as engineers of the future, we won't settle for less than the excellence.
3. Innovation and nonconformity: the engine of progress
Without innovation there is no progress and without progress there is no future. And there is no innovation without nonconformism.
At TALAT we never look for the easy way, but the one that leads us to be a little better every day. The jury especially valued our commitment to technological innovation, with more than 150,000 € of investment in 2024.
Our project Talat Tech is the perfect example of this philosophy: we empower the entire TeamTalat to promote innovation proposals, lead and manage "their" project, giving them the necessary tools to implement their ideas.
More than 15 years building the future
With more than 15 years of experience, our company has consolidated its position as a reference in MEP engineering, offering innovative technical solutions in key sectors such as hotels, tourism and sports.
This recognition is not a point of arrival, but a confirmation that we are on the right track. As SMEs, we know that challenges are constant, but we are TeamTalat and we like a challenge.as our CEO, Gustavo, also proudly said.
