We close the year with a beautiful report from Diario de Mallorca about some of the projects we are particularly excited about on and off the island.

"The Rafa Nadal Tennis Center in Manacor was an important challenge for the Mallorcan company Talat. A complete and executive project of management and engineering of a complex of sports facilities, distributed between a residence, a training school, a hotel, tennis courts, changing rooms, bar and green areas. The assignment included the BMS control of its facilities, which continues to be monitored. And this year the company is continuing with a new adventure, the expansion of the center for administrative and sports uses, which will provide the tennis center with 18 new courts, 10 of which will be covered, and a new 3-story building.

And if the Rafael Nadal Center was a challenge, Talat's enthusiasm continues to grow with the remodeling project of the Son Moix Stadium in Palma, even more so by combining the design of the remodeling project with RCD Mallorca's commitment to respect for the environment and the clear objective of providing the best experience for the Club's fans.

Son Moix Stadium Project

The works of this first phase in Son Moix consist of the construction of a new grandstand in the lower part of the Sol stand and an overhang that will cover 6,556 spectators on rainy days and protect them from the sun in high temperatures. The new design brings the fans a little more than 8 meters from the field of play, with improved and adapted access and seating for people with special needs and reduced mobility.

Talat is in charge of the electricity and telecommunications infrastructure, as well as the telecommunications and lighting nodes, under the direction of Manu Ors Sureda, who in addition to being a technical engineer at Talat is a great fan of the team and says that "it is an honor to see how the stadium evolves and a great responsibility to be part of its history". In particular, the club has relied on Talat for the installation of 28 LED lights that are already very visible from the nearby Vía de Cintura, dressing the stadium at night. Son Moix Stadium with the colors of Real Mallorca, highlighting the highest perimeter of its stands.

A great project signed by the architect Izaskun Larzabalresponsible for the remodeling of the Real Sociedad's Anoeta, Reale Arena, winner of the Prix Versailles 2020, one of the most prestigious awards in the world of architecture and design, in association with Unesco and the International Union of Architects (UIA), is considered the most beautiful sports facility in the world. The award values innovation, creativity, reflection of local heritage, and also components such as sustainability, energy efficiency and integration, both social, cultural and economic, factors that are also being taken into account in the current Son Moix project, which is scheduled for completion in 2024.

"When we started working with such a young team, we saw that discipline and enthusiasm came from the same commitment one has to oneself when one wants to excel in a sport, and most of us had that in common," says Guillermo Bauzá, co-CEO of Talat.

Major projects for sports facilities outside the islands:

The construction of the largest indoor climbing wall in Europe: Sputnik Climbing Las Rozas de Madrid. Talat has been in charge of the electrical and mechanical installations of this unique space: the best indoor and outdoor climbing routes in Spain. With a speed wall approved for the Olympic Games and 850 square meters of surface dedicated exclusively to bouldering.

Currently, he is also part of a large team in the stadium remodeling project. Santiago Bernabeu: one of the most significant projects in the world today, due to its complexity and uniqueness. This project is developed entirely with BIM methodology, having even won worldwide awards such as the "Tekla BIM awards 2021", showing the advances in design and execution that can be carried out with this methodology.

One of the best and most modern stadiums

TALAT is developing the most emblematic part of what will be one of the best and most important most modern stadiums in the worldthe famous HypogeumThe gigantic greenhouse where the six huge trays of grass will rest, which will be hidden or removed according to the needs of the club. Taking charge of the design and execution of the entire air conditioning of the hypogeum, through BIM modeling and coordination in the technical office, following the criteria set by the client and in full multidisciplinary coordination with all parties involved, including BMS control.

"It is an area, the world of sports, that does not put up barriers when it comes to innovating in its facilities," says Gustavo Picó, Talat's general manager. It is the same philosophy that the company has and that it transfers to all its projects.

Talat continues to take steps forward, continuing with its commitment to the future, through innovative projects. Knowing how to adapt and providing solutions to new needs, while achieving better performance of its facilities. "It's a long-distance and obstacle race: you have to be very well prepared physically and psychologically," concludes Guillermo Bauzá."
