Part of our Talat Team has been present at the second edition of the National Smart City Congress of the RECI (smart cities network).
Coinciding with its tenth anniversary, we could not miss this important date with the future of our cities, which we have had the privilege to host in Palma in this edition. Hosted by the Palau de CongressosThe event, which brought together more than 300 attendees from the more than 130 cities that make up RECI, as well as public entities from central government and the European Commission.
Part of our software team (creators of Talat Smart Hotel), telecommunications and control has caught up with the latest trends in this multidisciplinary sector, which is growing by leaps and bounds. At Talat we believe in the connection and balance of our projects, buildings and facilities with their urban environment. To this end, cooperation between the public and private sectors and social collaboration are essential to enable the development of the cities of the future. A transversal work closely related to the growth of the hotel sector, which goes hand in hand with a new model of Sustainable Tourism, whose initiatives are very necessary in our island.
RECI aims to generate a dynamic between cities and created this Congress to bring together its technicians and all participants of the sector in a collaborative space, betting on creative industries and high technology through participatory strategic plans. They rely on information and communication technologies (ICT) to promote the automatic and efficient management of urban infrastructures and services. All this translates into a reduction in public spending and an improvement in the quality of services, thus attracting economic activity and generating progress for cities in the coming years, while making life easier for citizens within a more cohesive and supportive society.
